An exciting announcement for pregnant mums and those with young infants!!

In the new year we will be launching “ABC Baby Bee*”! This is a new support group for pregnant mums and mums of young infants (0-5 months). We’d love for you and your baby to take part! 👶🏾👶🏻👶🏿🐝

*Bee is an old term for a get-together, in case you’re wondering!

The theme of the group is “promoting shared experience in mother and infant education and well being”. In our conversations with local mums, we found that many felt isolated and uncertain during their pregnancy and in the first few months of motherhood. There can be so many “Is it just me?” or “Am I doing it right?” questions.

The aim of this group is to help and support mums at this stage by sharing the ups and downs of motherhood together, and by providing education about the value of sharing experiences with your child.

Once every two weeks, you would come into the babylab where you’d be able to chat to other mums over coffee and cake. Older siblings can be looked after next door. We can contribute to travel expenses and the sessions are free!

At the end, we would have a brief presentation from a researcher on the ABC team about the value of shared experiences in infancy. We’ll be avoiding any “shoulds” or “musts”- the aim is to provide information that you can use in your own way in your own unique relationship with your baby!

If you’re interested or want to learn more, please email [email protected]. Spaces are limited, so please get in touch soon. Our aim in to start in February!

Dads stay tuned too…
